(Danbury, Connecticut)...What does public education and cable TV have in common? Teaching the truth according to noted educator-cable TV talkshow personality Al Bruhn. "Truth in reporting and fair and balanced reporting" is Al Bruhn's motto of his cable TV network (American Public Television-Western Connecticut Public Television Network) which directs and produces USA TV Talk Live with Al Bruhn via Comcast Cablevision and supplied to other cable TV stations. Since 1978, Al Bruhn has enlightened his cable TV audiences with an array of news, sports and entertainment reports. Bringing to the public access anchor chair, Al Bruhn is an accomplished writer and public educator. Although retired from the Danbury, Connecticut Public School district, Al Bruhn is now a guest teacher with the Weston, Connecticut Public School district as a computer technology instructor. His affiliation with Weston and Brewster, NY Central Public School district has reaffirmed his belief in the public school system as a "reborn teacher." "Although I wanted to be an investigative education reporter with NBC News, I have found happiness both in the classroom and on cable TV," Al Bruhn said. Besides teaching and public access productions, Al Bruhn is also a wrestling coach/wrestler, who welcomes the challenges it presents on the mat. "There's a lot to learn from winning and losing on the mat," Al Bruhn noted. "Life is a bowl of cherries if you want it to be or a bunch of sour grapes," Al Bruhn added. From leaving on the last plane out of Saigon in public education to commanding a supersonic jet in education today, Al Bruhn combines both education and cable TV to produce the finest hours for one and all as America's First Longest Running Public Access Producer-Host.
