(Danbury, Connecticut)...The second segment of the Octoiber 12, 2005 show, we saw the Hockey team who is currently 2-0-1 in a much tougher conference with the likes of UConn, Rutgers and New York University. They defeated Seton Hall in their season-opener 10-1 and defeated Lafayette in their home opener 5-4 in overtime. One caller commented on the team�s physical play which they replied �If you have the puck, you�re going to get hit.�
The Second Interview brought the Head Coach Dave Jurasek, Defenseman Matt Miller and center Joseph Stabile. Stabile hit a game winning shot against Layfaette just five days previous. The Hockey team has moved up to play the likes of UConn, Rutgers and University of Vermont. WestConn defeated University of Vermont on Sunday October 16 5-4 in an overtime win, the thrid in a row for WestConn. The Coach discussed the challenges his team would face in moving up in the conference. He also discussed how proud his team was to play for WestConn and their determination to show the bigger schools that the likes of WestConn can hang.
